Let us invite you to discover the story behind the Kama’a Rejuvenation & Wellbeing Spa.

We started as a massage parlor within Megah D’Aru Hotel in 2009, along the Tanjung Aru township area. We worked hard to create an atmosphere that fosters relaxation and harmonious equilibrium of body, mind, and spirit. Each treatment is infused with love and care, as we blend age-old traditions of natural healing from both the East and the West.

Evoking the spirit of Sabah, Kama’a Spa features its private-label blends of pure essential oils in aromatherapy massages, facials, and signature treatments. Our popularity grew over the years, as more people got to know us and experienced our treatments. We continue to grow to the point that we were able to open our wellness center at Star City North Complex in 2014.

Our wellness center was well received by the locals and travelers, so we decided to make it our home headquarters. During this time, old and new colleagues joined and made a wonderful team together. As of 2017, the Tanjung Aru parlor is no longer operational and we focus our work on our wellness center, offering more curated treatments for our guests.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2019 and opened a new walk-in branch on the ground floor of Star City North Complex. Our wellness center on the third floor became a focus for extensive treatments, while our ground-floor branch provided quick and simple treatments on the go.

As we all know, the pandemic hit in 2020 worldwide.

Unfortunately, due to frequent lockdowns and restricted tourism, our ground floor branch had to be closed.

As our post-pandemic local economy began to improve in the year 2022, so did our business. We took a new approach to wellness and a traditional Chinese medicine therapy branch of Kama’a was established at Metro Town, known as Kama’a Meridian Therapy 经络理疗养生馆. Bio-electric meridian physiotherapy is a combination of traditional Chinese medicine and modern microelectronic technology, which converts ordinary electrical energy into the inherent bio-electric energy of the human body to stimulate meridian Qi and dredge meridian.

Fast forward to 2024, we celebrate our 15th anniversary as a wellness spa center. With a great courageous leap, we expanded to the heart of Semporna, more than 500 kilometers away from our headquarters. Our new wellness branch offers a soothing retreat for visitors unwinding after their sun-kissed adventures in Sipadan and the waters of the Celebes Sea.

Now, as we welcome 2025, we celebrate 16 wonderful years. This journey would not have been possible without the support and love of our guests, colleagues, friends, and family.

As we continue to serve you, our guests, we promise to keep our commitment to you. We would keep cleanliness, safety, and comfort as our top priority. To show that we keep these promises, we have obtained industry certifications (and vaccinations) for our establishments, therapists, and staff.
